New partners for 2007
School of Higher Studies (SNS) Pisa, Italy
The School of Higher Studies (Scuola Normale Superiore) in Pisa and the Faculty of Arts at the University of Melbourne have agreed to begin exchanging students at PhD level. The first students will be able to exchange from semester 2, 2008. Students will be doing mainly research and should contact Melbourne Global Mobility for further information. University of Chile
The University of Chile and the University of Melbourne have agreed to begin exchanging students. The first students will be able to exchange in semester 2, 2008. Students can only study in Spanish. See the entry under Chile in the partner list for the relevant links to the University of Chile website.

Network of degrees in ethics, human rights and institutions
This exciting exchange program is for students with an interest in ethics and human rights. Formed by a group of universities in Australia and Europe, with funding for ten students of $7,600 from the European Union and the Australian Government, it is designed to enable students to have greater access to a range of topics on ethics, human rights and the institutions for implementing them.
The European partner institutions at which the exchanges can occur are:
- Lancaster University, UK
- LUISS University, Italy
- University of Helsinki, Finland
- University of Bielefeld, Germany
The exchanges are open to students who have completed, or are currently studying, philosophy or political theory subjects. Preference will be given to students who are specialising in philosophy or political theory and who will have completed two years of study at the time of the exchange.
