You must start the day by registering.

You will be advised at registration which Melbourne Global Mobility briefing session you need to attend that morning. Melbourne Global Mobility will be hosting a BBQ for all students at lunchtime, this will be followed in the afternoon by additional sessions on enrolling your subjects, a housing information and a session on making the most of your stay in Melbourne. You should plan to be on campus until late afternoon.

You should make plans to arrive in Melbourne before Friday 17 February 2017. If you can’t arrive before Friday 17 February 2017, you must seek approval to arrive late. Requests for late arrival must be emailed to our Outreach Advisor, Imran Zaveer. Please advise us of your intended arrival date in Melbourne and the reasons for your late arrival.

Keep in mind that orientation is compulsory and late arrivals are only approved in instances where students can demonstrate extenuating circumstances, such as a delay obtaining a student visa or for medical reasons. If you cannot arrive before semester starts, you may be asked to defer your study to the following semester. If your late arrival is approved, Imran will make arrangements with you to meet with Melbourne Global Mobility to advise on next steps for completing your enrolment.

If you are unexpectedly running late on the day, please refer to the flyer above for information on the location of activities where you can make contact with a staff member from Melbourne Global Mobility who will be able to assist you.

After Study Abroad and Exchange Welcome Day you will join the University Orientation which runs from 13 February to 3 March 2017. During orientation you will finalise your timetable, collect your student card, and have the opportunity to participate in a range of academic and social activities.  Further information about Orientation can be found on the web at:
