Once your application is complete, please print it out with all the following documentation and post it to:

To complete your application you will need:

Academic Transcript
- The most recent version of your official transcript or a certified copy
- For non-US students, an explanation of your grading system
- A certified translation and the original transcript if the original language is not English
- A list of any current subjects that are not yet included in your transcript
- Evidence of prior study (this is required for some 2nd and 3rd year University of Melbourne subjects). Students wishing to continue studies in engineering, science and psychology should supply syllabi of completed courses. If you do not meet subject prerequisites, an alternative will be suggested.
Two academic references
An academic reference should be written by a member of your University's academic staff who has taught you (preferably at least one of the two references should be written by a professor/lecturer from your major area of study). The reference should be:
- Written on university letterhead;
- Signed by the academic staff member; and
- Include mention of your academic performance, your contribution in class and your suitability for study abroad/exchange.
Statement of Purpose
One single-spaced A4 page outlining why you wish to study at the University of Melbourne.
Language proficiency evidence
If you are studying at a university where English is not the language of instruction, you must provide evidence that you have met the University's English Language Requirements (including original IELTS or TOEFL test results if applicable).
NOTE: Students whose visa applications will be assessed at Assessment Level 3, 4 or 5 MUST sit an IELTS test and achieve a set score in order to obtain a student visa. Please refer to the visa section for further information.
Passport Copy
Please supply a certified copy of the details page of your passport.

Some areas of study require further information to support your application. Check the Faculty-specific requirements to find out whether you need further documentation.
Signatures
You must post us the application form signed and dated by you and your home advisor or coordinator (if applicable). Please include a business card for your home advisor/coordinator with your application.
NOTE: An incomplete application will delay processing of your acceptance documents.
