Hamer Scholarships Study Abroad students only. John and Betty McCreery Travelling Scholarship is available to students enrolled in the Melbourne Medical School and Faculty of Science (including Optometry students) and undertaking at least one semester (12 weeks) of overseas study. Norman Macgeorge Scholarships. For University of Melbourne students. Those eligible to apply are research higher degree students in the visual, creative and performing arts, music, architecture, conservation, literature, creative writing, language, history, philosophy, and anthropology at the University of Melbourne. The Odyssey Travel Equity & Merit Scholarship. For University of Melbourne students. Scholarship which aims to assist students of proven academic ability whoa re experiencing financial hardship to study overseas. Rotary International - Ambassadorial Scholarships. For more information see the Rotary International website. Varies Varies
Samstag Scholarships. Not available to exchange students. The Anne and Gordon Samstag International Visual Arts Scholarships are administered by the University of South Australia. For more information see the Samstag website. Stipend, return airfares and institutional fees for one academic year Varies
Walter Mangold Trust Fund. For students going abroad to study any modern language for a period of between three months to one year. The intention is that young Australians who have reached second-year proficiency at the tertiary level will spend a period of time living and studying in another country, developing their language and communication skills, and improving their understanding and appreciation of the culture. Funding is offered twice a year: Round 1 for study commencing in semester 1 of the following year; and Round 2 for study commencing in semester 2 of the following year. W.E.J. Craig Travelling Scholarship. For students undertaking graduate study or a research in the area of Animal Husbandry at an overseas tertiary education institution, this scholarship provides a living allowance in support of the study.  For more information see the Melbourne Scholarships website. China

China Scholarship Council (CSC) awards. Not available to exchange students. Applicants should contact the Chinese embassy or consulate for detailed deadlines and procedures.

Ningbo International Student Government Scholarships for Academic Excellence. Exchange Students Only. For semester 2 2014 and semester 1 2015 scholarships are available for students going on exchange to the University of Nottingham Ningbo. Students have to be from outside of China, including HK, Macau and Taiwan. Download the application form here.

Switzerland Heyning-Roelli Foundation scholarships. This foundation supports exchange students who have been accepted for one or two exchange semesters at ETH Zurich. Students should be able to show that they are especially qualified for the chosen studies and that they would not be otherwise able to afford such a study trip without assistance. Hansard Society Scholars. This is an undergraduate study abroad programme offered by the Hansard Society, the UK’s leading parliamentary think tank, to promote international knowledge and understanding of the British model of parliamentary democracy. To mark the 800th anniversary of Magna Carta, two scholarships (worth £10,250 GBP each) have been made available, to enable two outstanding undergraduate students to join the prestigious Hansard Scholars 14 week Autumn Programme from 5 September – 12 December 2015.
